What’s Going On — On Medium?
The recent trauma
I lost ~30 followers in less than 48 hours!
The reason? I’ll explain in a few minutes. And maybe you also have lost a significant number of followers in recent days, did you? Yea? I’ve got you!
So what’s happening on Medium? We all know how hard it is to gain followers on Medium, especially in 2024. Thus, losing a significant number of followers in 24 or 72 hours is just another level of trauma.
But why did you lose followers?
The good news is, it’s not that your followers mass unfollowed you in the shortest period of time, and it’s also not that they’ve blocked you on Medium or something.
The reason is something different — a good one.
I found this comment when I was tinkering on Medium a few hours ago, and thought of writing this story to update you guys on what’s going on — on Medium:
The guy who made this comment works at Medium.
What he’s saying? He says that they’re removing, suspending, and banning accounts that are spamming and committing fraud on Medium.
