I started writing on Medium just a month after graduating from college. It was one of the best decisions of my life. After trying and failing (a small success you can say) at several other businesses I stumbled on online writing in 2022. I started my journey on Quora, but quickly moved to Medium.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been writing on the internet. I’ve made a couple of thousand dollars (life-changing in some ways), and if there is one thing I really admire about this online writing game is flexibility.

I’m writing this story from my parent’s house. What’s more…ever since I started writing on this platform I’ve changed multiple locations and it didn’t affect the writing or its business. When I think about this advantage we have as writers, I can’t wrap my head around it. Isn’t it amazing?

Tell me a job that allows you to do it.

Your traditional business will never allow you to work from anywhere in the world, you need to be present at the location your business is based in. The company you work at also has some sort of limitations on what you can do and what you can’t. But writing online? If you’re like me who barely do meetings these days, have stopped doing calls, and don’t like creating videos and podcasts, I don’t think there is more freedom than this.

I can sit all day and type. It doesn’t bore me.

Writers, I’m not exaggerating this. I’ve experienced this, and you know what it’s one of the best feelings I get when I think about it. All thanks to the internet. Thanks for reading. Catch you in the next one, bye.
