This Is How You Can Make Your First $100 On Medium In 60 Days Or Less!

Knowing the right way to monetize your Medium work is an unfair advantage — knowledge — you can have — that most people don’t.
Only a selected few people make money on Medium. If we talk about numbers, it could be like 99% of the writers who write on Medium — either they make pennies or almost zero dollars.
The reason can be many for this, but the one common and harsh truth is that they don’t know the right way to monetize their work on Medium. And if you don’t know how to monetize your work on Medium, how the hell you’re going to make money from it?
The loophole.
Maybe you’ve joined the Medium Partner Program but it’s just making you pennies each month. Or maybe you don’t have the privilege to join the Partner Program and you’re looking to make your first $1 or $100 on Medium through other income streams.
If so, today I’m about to teach you how you can make your first $ [put your number] as a complete beginner writer on Medium. However, you’ll need some sort of expertise, knowledge, or experience in your field to do it.
And if you don’t have the expertise, knowledge, or experience in your felid — you need to position yourself as an authority in your niche. How? By writing stories that prove your competence. That’s the only way to do it!
Just for clarity: Remember I said, “Complete beginner writer on Medium.” You’re not a beginner in your field or industry.
I distinctly remember I made my first $20 on Medium through this exact method that I’m about to teach you. The reason I’m a huge proponent of this method is because it doesn’t require a huge following.
You can pretty much start this business model from day one — to— the day you want to start. There are no barriers. And this method of making money on Medium almost costs you zero dollars to start.

So what’s the method? It’s not your Medium Partner Program. It’s consulting. Yup. Consulting. Or in other words: one-on-one coaching.
The E-book is a good way to monetize your work — and no doubt you can make decent money doing it. But the problem with an ebook is that it costs you so much time to first build and create it. And second, to make decent money ($100 or more) from it, you need enough people to buy it.
You can’t sell an ebook for $69 and expect to get a lot of sales — unless you don’t have a massive audience. And that’s the problem.
Ebooks are low-ticket products, so if you really — really want to make money from it, you can only sell it for a few bucks ($5–$19) to get sales.
But since we’re talking about “How to monetize your work as a beginner Medium writer” Meaning you don’t have a large following. So simply, it cuts off the ebook method. You need something else.
The consulting.
Consulting, on the other hand, doesn’t require a large following to make your first $1 or $100 on Medium. Even if you’ve 100 or 200 niche followers, you’ll be able to make money from it.
Let’s do the math…
So say you want to make your $100 on Medium. To do it, you only need two people to pay you $49. And the call won’t be too long. You can finish your consulting call in just 30 minutes.
It’s easy to charge $49 for a call, but you can’t for an ebook.
And don’t you think that if you have 100 or 200 nich-followers, you’ll be able to get two people to pay you $49 for a meeting with you? Of course, you can.
All you need is experience, knowledge, expertise or position yourself in your field.
Now, let’s assume today is your first day on Medium. You’ve heard about this platform on the internet and now you want to start writing here. Great.
So you start publishing your stories on Medium and simultaneously you start a consulting business. (You’re not a beginner in your industry)
So if you write consistently and promote your consulting business through your stories, there is no chance that you won’t make any money. But the opposite is true, you’ll be able to make your first $100 in 60 days or less.
I guarantee. Because I’ve done it myself. I’m the proof.
How To Do It
Now let me show you the most important part.
Write as many stories as you can and market your consulting business in your stories. How you can do it? Write stories that solve your audience's pains and problems or write stories that help achieve goals and outcomes your targeted readers want. And, at the end of those stories, add a CTA (call to action) talking a little bit about your consulting.
You can write like:
“Hey, thanks for reading this story. If you want to learn more about this topic or concept you can book a consulting call with me where I can teach you everything I know about [your subject.] Plus will solve all the problems and doubts you have. Schedule your meeting here”
This is your marketing.
Tools You Need
Now you’ll need some tools to use to make your consulting business successful. Don’t worry I’m only going to give you the free tools that I personally use.
1. Google Form
If you don’t want your consulting prospect to book the meeting with you — and instead, you want a survey (so you can see if they’re a good fit) before they book the call. If that’s the case, you can use Google Forms to ask questions. And then if they qualify, send them the meeting link.
2. Gumroad
You can directly host your consulting call on Gumroad. You can also build your landing page on this platform for free. The only condition is that Gumroad charges a 10% flat fee on each sale you make.
3. Calendly
Once they make the payment through Gumroad or whatever payment method you told them to pay through — you need to send them a link where they can book the meeting with you. This is where the Calendly comes in. It allows your prospect to book a call with you at a selected date and time you want.
4. Google Meet
Now you need a meeting tool to actually meet the prospect. And you might better know there are only two tools for this. First, Zoom, which I don’t use. Second Google Meet, which I recommend.
5. Google Slides
If you want to build some sort of presentation, I’d recommend you go with Google Slide. Because it’s easy to use, it’s handy, and it’s also free. It’s okay if you don't want to build any presentation for your consulting call.
