The End of Friendships

When you’re a kid or just a teenager, you’ve got this immense energy that you can make a ton of friends and have a ton of fun together. But what’s weird is that that same energy fades away as you grow older. God knows why!

As you get older, you start to lose all your friends. It’s not that you do it intentionally, but it’s more so because as we age, priorities change. Your friends start going to college, some of them get married, some of them focus on their careers, and some of them don’t vibe you with anymore so they find new friends.

Friendships drastically change when you hit 25. And I can certainly feel that. All my childhood friends, school friends, college friends, and casual friends are either married and settled down, or we just don’t meet each other anymore. We don’t bother calling each other, we don’t send birthday messages, we don’t even ask what we are doing these days.

The friendship has gone.

What’s more…as you grow up, it’s hard to make new friends. Actually, I should say you don’t want to make new friends. While there are several reasons why you don’t want to make new friends as you age, I think I should point out that it’s all a personal choice. But things now have changed, you know.
