Did You ever think Writing online is tough or too competitive?

Some writers don’t even start to write because the fear of competition that doesn’t even exist. This is an attention economy and in this economy, only the creator wins who knows how to grab the reader’s attention. Nothing else. And the fun part is that 99% of writers quit their writing journey after three months.

This is the fact.

But if you want to knock on the door of 1% of writers you will have to write for a long period of time.

There is no competition in writing.

Do you know how many writers are on Medium?

1,75,000 writers. (according to data)

How many of them do you know? Maybe 10 to 20?

So where is the competition?

Here is the thing —

People read the stuff that they love.

I do believe there is competition in every domain, only if you work like other creators or like mediocre. If you don’t stand out in the crowd everything seems to be competitive. But when you step up yourself from others, you will know that there is no competition.

The real competition is with yourself, not with others.

So take away from your mind this shitty thought of competition. Just keep going and improve yourself day by day, week by week, and month by month.

Be a king of your domain. Make an empire of your audience. Make an impact.

Ok, this was a short story for every writer who is afraid of competition. Hope this will help and give you the motivation to work. Let me know in the comment section.

Keep Writing.
