Medium: The Home for Writers
This platform has something that others don’t
Medium has lost its golden days.
If you think so, I ask you to give me a few minutes so I can make my point on why this platform is built different, what makes it special, and why you should keep writing on this platform in 2024.
This post is going to be truly important for writers who want to kick-start their writing journey or have been writing on Medium for a while.
I don’t think there are real Medium’s competitors. Of course, there are, but not in the way Medium works. Medium is different, totally different. If you talk about Substack, it’s not easy for newbie writers to grow despite having the Notes feature. What’s more, Substack is not just a newsletter writing platform, now it has become a hub for podcasting and video creation.
I don’t know what they want to achieve though!
Most writers or authors don’t like creating videos or podcasts. (part of the reason they write) But I think Substack forces writers and creators to start creating podcasts or videos. Distraction? Not good for writers!
Substack is out of the game here.
Twitter (now X), oh man…it’s too controversial these days, so much drama, only political news. You can’t even scroll…
