If You Do This, You’ll Make Money
This is exactly what I do to make money
Money is the byproduct of the work you produce!
The less you try to make money and focus on more towards solving your audience's problem, providing them a ton of value, (just like me lol), and helping them achieve an outcome — the more money you make!
If you’re writing, building, or creating something just to rake money into your pocket, you won’t be able to do it and probably you’ll end up getting terrible at building and creating on the internet.
Because the money you make is the byproduct of the work you do. The more valuable the work, the more money you make. Simple and straight.
The less you sell, the more sales you generate.
That’s one side of the equation. The other side of the equation of making money is to: Be brutally honest and authentic with your audience.
The more honest and authentic you are, the more your audience and readers will love it. What even can beat you by you being you? Nothing.
So be brutally honest and as authentic as possible — and tell the truth and reality — and directly show the actual thing you’re trying to say or deliver.
The reader will not only thank you for doing this but also they’ll like you because you’re doing the thing (being honest and authentic) that most creators/people never do — in this noisy digital era!
The best example of this I can give you is this story.
Basically, it’s a sales page for my ebook, Medium Masterclass. But when you read it, you won’t feel as if you’re reading a sales page, but more so like you’re reading a guide that is genuinely trying to help you.
Thoughtout the story, I try to be as authentic and honest as possible, without being “Too salesy.” However, I also needed to prove my competence and tell why a reader should listen to me, which I did too.
What’s more, the moment you open that story, you’ll see a note that says:
If you don’t wanna be sold, please don’t read it.
Can you tell me any more honest and authentic words than this? You can’t. I genuinely do not try to sell the reader anything if they don’t want it. And I’m so clear about this at the beginning of that story.
As a result, you can see the story has 1,100+ claps, 34 positive comments as a form of feedback/testimonials, and most importantly, it generates sales every single day — if not every day then at least per week.
What do I want more than this? Isn’t it beautiful?
So what’s the lesson here?
Genuinely solve your audience's problem. Help them achieve the outcome they desire. And Be brutally honest and authentic with them. If you can do this, you’ll be amazed by the results you get. I promise you!
