I Was A Disaster Before I Became A Writer (Here’s The Full Story)

I was a horrible writer!

No one is born an expert though. If you want to learn and master something you have to practice it at an extreme level.

And that’s exactly what I did. The best thing I did when started writing was to not focus too much on money and first learn “How to write well.”

And guess what? After hours of practice, years of mastering, and writing every single day for more than 18 months — now I can say “I’m a writer.”

Certainly, I’m not an expert writer. I’m also not a writer who punches a swag metaphor in every sentence. And I don’t wanna be that. It feels cringe to me, to be honest!

But it makes me wonder when I think “How far I’ve come.”

I didn’t know the difference between “Can” and “Could” and sometimes I’d put “rabbit-whole” instead of “rabbit hole.” I didn’t know what good writing was. Didn’t know I had to capitalize the first word after a period. Literally, I used to make mistakes in every line. (well I still do, don’t I?)

But, my fellow writer, this journey has taught me almost everything. Writing. Grammar. Sentences. The psychology behind writing. Etc.

And now I break grammar rules when needed.

Because I believe:

First, learn the rules, then break the rules.

Writing becomes your superpower once you understand the psychology behind good writing. You can communicate globally with no friction. I’m so proud of myself for what I’ve done. Cheers🥂

But you’d laugh at me and my writing if you look back to my old days — the days when I started writing online.

Should I add some crispiness here and show you something?

Here you go:

I told you before “I was a disaster.”🤣

Grammar mistakes. Spelling mistakes. Nonsense writing. And I made every mistake you can imagine.

At least, I’m now in a far better situation.

But that’s okay. You have to suck at the beginning. Then you suck less, and you suck less by doing more. I can now write better content because I’ve practiced it at an extreme level. (I still do)

Remember, it’s only hard in the beginning. No one gives a sh*t about you when you’re just starting — but the same people will ask advice from you when you surpass them by achieving something they haven’t.

This is how the world works, my friend.

So if you suck — Do more.
