I Don’t Have Time. Really?

Let’s discuss this!

People often say “I don’t have time for XYZ.”

But I wonder how true this statement is. Because let’s face it…we all have time, more time than we ever need to complete a task at a given point.

I too, have those moments when I find myself saying “I don’t have time.” to my friends and family members for the things they ask me to act on.

I say that statement not because I really don’t have time for the thing they ask me to act on, but it’s just that I don’t think the thing they ask me to act on is worth my time, or me wanting to do that.

Said differently, I don’t prioritize the thing they ask me to take action on. For instance, if one of my friends offers me to go outside and do something, and if I say “I don’t have time” to him, it doesn’t mean I really don’t have time to go outside.

But instead, I’d say it because I don’t prioritize the thing he asks me for and I have no intention of going outside because maybe I want to work, or maybe I want to just stay at home chilling. Period.

What’s the core idea here?

Many people want to start writing online, but when you ask them why they haven’t started yet, the most obvious answer they’ll give you is “I don’t have time.
