Most writers fail to grab the reader’s attention.

The introduction is the part of your blog post that gives you the room to hook the reader. But, the most common problem I see with writers is that they never start their posts with a compelling introduction. If you can’t grab their attention in the introduction you’ll lose them.

So, today in this post, I’ll share with you 5 ways to grab the reader's attention by writing attention-grabbing introductions.

Let’s start —

#1: Ask Questions

Want to know how questions grab the reader’s attention?

When you ask questions in the intro the reader would want to know the answer as quickly as possible by thinking: Why does this person say it? Or let me read how true it is… And what it really does is, it takes them to the next sentence or next paragraph.

I often start my introduction by asking questions.

Examples —

#2: Start With The Strong Point

Strong points force the reader to think.

Starting your introduction with a strong is more powerful than you think, because when you start your introduction with a strong point so you’re basically claiming something, and when you claim something. For sure, the reader would want to know how true you’re. And that’s how you take them to the next sentence or next paragraph.

Examples —

#3: Start With The Problem

Pain is power.

Make the first sentence of your introduction more painful. Because when you state something in a problematic way it directly touches the reader’s sense. And it forces the reader to read further.

Examples —

#4: Reveal Data

Readers love data.

Starting your introduction with some data points is one of the proven ways to hook the reader. Because every reader loves data and it grabs their attention easily.

Example —

#5: Drop Quotes

Want to hook the reader by inspiring them?

Put the quote in the introduction.

Although I don’t use this format much, but it is also a great way to start your introduction. People love quotes. Because quotes inspire them, motivate them, and make them energetic.

Example —

Pro Tip

Start your introduction in one sentence with a single paragraph. (much powerful)

Note: If you’re reading this note point then I’m assuming that you got hooked by my introductions. Because this post is the best example of what I’m talking about.

I hope this helps.
