It is a kind of monetization term on medium, there is a program available for writers to earn money for their writing, when you complete your 100 followers on medium you can join medium partner program. like google has its google Adsense, medium has its medium partner program(MPP)
Publication
Publication is something we can relate to the groups, like Facebook and Telegram groups, medium has publications where you can publish your stories once you are approved by the publication admin.
Claps
Claps are the form of like buttons on medium, such as social media platforms and search engines — youtube has its like buttons. (not a social media anymore, youtube is a search engine)
You can clap any post, but there is a limit you can only clap a post 50 times.
Response
Response is a form of a comment, medium only has changed the term we don't use the word “comment” when we talk about a comment on medium we say — Response. It works the same as other apps/website comments.

This is a unique term that you have to know before you write anything on the medium, curation is something that when medium curators see your articles and found them helpful. then they promote your article to a large audience means they push your article and show your article to more and more people.
On medium the term we use is “curation” and who curate them are called “curators”

Various platforms have their own specific tags that tell about the category there is also a tag that has topics.

A newsletter is a form of email, when someone joins or clicks on your email newsletter they will get notified every time whenever your post something new articles, also they can read your post on their Gmail box without opening the actual post.
So that is what medium is made for writers. and I think there are only a few things that are only on medium like curation, newsletters, and the rest all are the same works as other platforms. the only difference is in the “Term”
