Readers want benefits not features.
If your headline is lacking benefit, add it ASAP.

Absence Of Simplicity
Simplicity wins.
Don’t try to make things complex.
Use simple words.
Use simple power words.
Avoid adding jargon.
You will win.
Absence Of Clarity
Your headline should be clear.
Clarity in the sense: What your headline is about, who is for, and what readers will get once they click on your headline. It should be more clear.
If you try to make clickbaity headlines but if you don’t keep your promise in the post reader will never read your future contents.
So make sure: be clear about your headline.
Absence Of Perfect Length
Not too short, not too long.
Your headline should be optimal. I would recommend you write a 60 -70 characters headline because it’s the best headline measurement.
This post is a perfect example of a good headline the word consists of 65 characters.
Make it good.
Multiple Audience Targeting
Don’t try to catch all the audience.
If you’re writing for everyone, basically you’re writing for no one.
Be specific, write for a particular domain/niche.
Take the example of this post, this post is for writers, for Medium writers, who want to make great headlines by avoiding these silly mistakes.
This post is not for a reader, not for a self helps avid reader, not for a yoga teacher, not for a doctor.
Be specific.
