I know, I know…

LinkedIn, Twitter, and personal blogs also exist.

So Why Medium?

There are certain criteria that make Medium a great writing platform, especially for beginner writers. I never recommend anyone to write on a personal blog. Also, I never suggest any beginner writer to write on LinkedIn and Twitter. ( Because of certain facts)

So, here are the reasons why Medium is the best writing platform for any beginner writer—

Reason #1: It Gives You Room To Improve Your Craft

If you are just started out or don’t know anything about writing, then Medium is the way to go, because Medium allows you to give you the room to improve your writing.

On Medium there is no limitation in writing, you can do whatever you want to write. This is how you can hone your craft by trying different things, different styles, and formating.

On the other hand, on LinkedIn and Twitter, you can’t do this.

Also, platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter take time to understand your content & category because of the short-length content.

Reason #2: Earn Money Directly On The Platform

You can’t earn money directly on LinkedIn and Twitter.

But you can earn money on Medium, if Medium partner program is available in your country. Because for beginner writers, money is the biggest motivation, and if you start making money in your first or two months that would be great to motivate you to work harder and get better at your craft. Isn’t it?

This is the second reason Medium is a great writing platform for beginner writers.

Reason #3: Your Online Resume

Medium allows you to make your perfect writing resume.

And it helps you to bring more opportunities to you, it doesn't matter whether you are a fashion designer, SEO writer, filmmaker, etc, anyone can teach and share the knowledge here, and can make their online portfolio.

And whenever someone asks for proof of your work, you can send them your Medium profile link. In this way you can grab, clients, sell courses, make offers, do partnership work, and so on...

This is what I'm doing.

Reason #4: No Words Limit

This is unreplaceable.

Twitter allows you to write only 280 characters.

LinkedIn allows you to write only 3,000 characters.

On the other hand, Medium allows you to write as many characters as you can. This helps you to improve your craft better by writing long forms of content.

The more you write in the flow the more you get better at your craft.

Reason #5: Simple And Easy To Use

And last but not least.

Medium is simple and easy to use, anyone can use it smoothly, and even a beginner can use it once they successfully create their account.

I do believe Twitter and LinkedIn are also simple.

But, as compared to Medium — They are not!

Medium is more easy and simple than these two others.

Also writing on Medium is quite easy, there is no complicated formula for bold, italics, and underlining your text, and the interface is quite simple anyone can understand what’s going on on their end.
