5 Recipes That Got Me 755 Followers & 37 Email Subscribers In One Month
My Secret Recipe To Get More Audience
Totally Incredible Month.
Getting 700+ followers and 37 email subscribers in a single month is fantastic. Isn’t it?
Everyone loves success. Nobody likes the process.
But, what I've achieved so far is all because of my hard work, consistency, and persistence. Although this is not common. I've seen so many writers struggle to get views, followers, and subscribers.
Why? Because they are not doing anything different. They talk about the same topics that their same niche of writers are talking about. This is the major reason for not getting traction, if you do the work as a mediocre writer, no one gonna follow you.
If you want to get traction, you have to stand out in your niche. And this is what I did. I talk about unnoticeable topics related to my domain.
So how did I get these numbers? What are my secret recipes?
Let’s start with frying —
Recipe #1: Put Yourself In Reader's Shoes
I know you have heard this sentence before.
But what does it really mean?
Create steps to imagine how you would feel or act if you were in the same situation as a respective person.
Write for the reader, not for you. You’re not the main character in your writing, the reader is. Our content should resonate with your readers.
Do what the data tells you, don’t go beyond. Double down on what works, and cut down on what doesn't!
The best ways to put yourself in the reader's shoes are —
- Ask them what they want to read from you.
- Ask them what they like most.
- Trick In the comment section.
- Observe your data.
- Get personal.
- Communicate with them.
Your content should be —
- Educational.
- Valuable.
- Enjoyable.
- Relatable.
Recipe #2: Steal Like An Artist
Yes, there is also a book called Steal Like an Artist by Austin kleon.
This section is inspired by that book.
keep your eyes on writers in your niche, There are so many top writers on the platform. Check what they are writing and what type of their content getting more views, observe them, analyze them and create a better version of that piece of content.
I’m not someone special, I do the same I just observed my favorite writers and steal their ideas and try to create the next version of their content.
Nicolas Cole is One of my favorite writers on the platform and whenever I need some unique topics related to my domain I just go to his profile and look for something new.
Recipe #3: Decorate Your Call To Action Area
This is where my email subscribers gather.
Let me tell you my secret — Just put only one most desirable call to action at bottom of the post. If you want more conversion.
This is how I accumulated 37 subscribers in a single month.
That’s it.
Some people put tons of calls to action in the same place, and it’s ok too. But this is not my fantasy.
Here’s how it works —
If you put more than one call to action at the bottom of the post readers get confused, whether they should click on the first link, second link, or the third link, and so on. That’s where your conversion goes down.
And if you want to put all your call to action in one place then there is an area we call About Page go and put your all call to action there.
Recipe #4: Your Bio Should Tell A Story
How much time does it take you to write a good-looking bio? Maybe two Minutes.
But this is not fair.
Your bio is the kidney of your profile, please don't damage it, it can harm you😂.
I have seen writers write on their bio like — I love cat, foodie, become your own boss, I love to travel, spread the love, blah, blah, blah.
But who cares?
People Don’t Care About What You Do. They Care About What You Can Do For Them.
Mark my words.
So don’t write anything in your bio make it simple and concise, tell who you are, what you do, and what you can do for them.
Take inspiration from my bio. Thank me later.
Recipe #5: Sharpen Your Craft
This is the major part.
Nothing is more important than your craft. If your craft sucks, nothing will matter. Or, in other words, If your content is not good, not valuable, or not teaching anything new, no one gonna follow you.
So how you can shape your craft.
- Read a lot. (books, novels, blog posts, articles, newsletters)
- Write a lot. (a passage, blog post, email, casual talk)
- Observe a lot. ( Your Inspiration)
- Steal a lot. (like an artist)
- Daily practice of Headline making.
- Don’t forget to write subheads.
- Start with a hook.
- Tell story.
- formating is a must. learn it. (let me know in the comment section if you want a post about it)
- Never try to become a giant of vocabulary.
