That’s actually one of Paul Graham’s essay titles. Well, if you don’t know who this guy is, let me tell you a few things about him. He is an American entrepreneur, investor, and writer. He founded Y Combinator — a venture capital firm. And, he is the guy who recently wrote “Founder Mode,” which brought a total storm to the tech community.
Yesterday, I was tinkering on his blog and found a breathtaking essay, which got me whispering: “Wow! This is such a wonderful writing advice.”
And lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the 3 writing advice he shared in that essay. I believe these three pieces of writing advice aren’t the general writing advice that you can easily find on the internet.
They are more than writing tips. Let’s talk about them!
1. Tell the Truth
Believe it or not, we writers are liars.
I’m too a liar. There are many times I write sentences and paragraphs that I’d already consciously know are not true, nonetheless, I can’t help and still go with those sentences or paragraphs.
